School Nurse


Welcome to Indian Land Elementary! I am so glad that I am here and can be your child's nurse. I am on site every day. Here in the nurse's office I take care of any health needs that arise while at school. Some of my other responsibilities include: making sure all immunizations are up to date, writing health care plans for students that have allergies or any other health issues and training staff.

Please remember that if your child has been sick with a fever greater that 100 that they need to stay home until they are fever free without any medicine.

About Me

I have been a pediatric nurse for 26 years. For the past 24 years I have worked in the PICU (pediatric intensive care) at Hemby Children's Hospital at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

I am a mom of 2 boys-one in college at Clemson and one in high school at ILHS

My interests include: reading and NFL football - Go Panthers!!

Nurse Reminders

Students should not report to school if they have had exposure to someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days; have symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, and shortness of breath; or, loss of taste or smell. If your child is home sick with COVID symptoms, has been a close contact, and/or they go to the doctor and are going to get COVID tested, you should also email our school nurse, Nurse Hubbard ( We are no longer able to accept home COVID test results. Please remember, we are all encouraged to wear our masks.
