A Message from Safety and Transportation

The LCSD Safety and Transportation team is conducting a census of riders this week. We currently believe we have many people who registered for the bus but either opted for virtual, car pool, home school, or some other method. We cannot continue to hold spaces for those who are not riding a bus on a regular basis. We are continuing to tie up valuable resources and we must place our energy toward consolidating routes and better serving those who are using bus service.

Please be aware we will begin purging our bus rider manifest next week. If you have registered your child to ride a bus and your child is not riding, you may send an email to to request that your child be removed from the list. Please include your child’s name. If the need arises for your child to ride a bus in the future, you will need to re-register your child by completing the online Bus Passenger Registration Form.

A Message from Food Services

LCSD’s Federal Waiver application has been approved to serve free breakfast and lunch meals to all students at all school sites regardless of their current meals status. All of our sites are considered closed sites in that we will only serve enrolled students at their school sites. This approval is effective September 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. We will now be able to serve Virtual students and send additional meals home with face-to-face students that attend on Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday. We plan for these additional meals to begin next Monday, September 14, 2020.

  • A Day students will take home 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches on Tuesday.

  • B Day students will take home 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches on Fridays.

  • Virtual Students will pick up 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches on Wednesdays from 11am until 1pm at ILE.
